Penny Hall started working with leather while living in Taos New Mexico.  Surrounded by the beauty of Native American art stirred her native heritage. She began to sew and bead buckskin flute bags and pouches.

After moving to Montana, Penny was diagnosed as legally blind.  She knew if she was to recover her sight she must prove to her sub conscious mind that she was NOT blind.

Once again the attraction to leather intrigued her.  Fascinated by the fact that the leather could be molded and hold its shape she purchased the supplies to make a leather bowl. As a therapy project between eye surgeries she created her first bowl in 2003.

Today, Penny’s leather bowls can be found in galleries in Montana, Colorado, Idaho and New Mexico.

Each hand sculpted piece is one of a kind. The portfolios found on this page give the viewer an idea of the range. Should you find something of interest, or wish to see more please contact Penny for availability and pricing.

When Penny met Ken she traded in her high heels and business suits for hikers and blue jeans.  She now plays in Big Sky Country as an artist, writer, life coach and entrepreneur.
